What We Do
Help The Homeless
Funded by donations and private foundation grants, Oasis Central Minnesota provides emergency housing in a motel setting and case management to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. We also provide some basic necessities through funding, cash donations, and non-monetary donations on a case by case basis.
Provide Community Meals
Share a Meal offers one free meal per week with the help of our volunteers and donors. A nutritious dinner and fellowship are provided, free of charge, to anyone who wishes to attend. We also partner to provide low cost groceries to anyone who wants to participate through Fare For All.
Modeled after the well-known radio show A Prairie Home Companion, A Prairie Homeless Companion is both humorous satire and serious look at housing instability in Greater MN.

A Prairie Homeless Companion
SEEKING PARTICIPANTS & STORIES for a WORKSHOP SERIES creating content for A Prairie Homeless Companion – live performance and broadcast in Central MN.. Hosted by Oasis Central Minnesota and zAmya Theater Project, artists will lead writing prompts and theater exercises designed to help participants develop personal stories into monologues, scenes, poems or songs. Participants will be invited to share these in a showcase at the end of the workshops and submit them for inclusion in A Prairie Homeless Companion fall performance and podcast.
